The compilations are thematical sets of pictures from the Bilderbeutel Collection subdivided into sections. Accompanying text might or might not be available.

As the collection comprises a rich variety of pictures and because the requests by keywords in some cases return a lot of pictures, we provide these compilations to specific themes. The compilations offer an alternative to view interesting parts of the collection without the need to search by oneself.
 

Themes
Naturally, by selecting the themes we are departing from the existing stock of pictures. The categorization by keywords is the starting point. But as these compilations are thought as a complement to keywords categorization that makes sense, these are not simple database queries by certain criteria. They are carefully composed and edited sets.
 

Sections
The subdivision in sections is made to present the pictures by diverse aspects within the respective thematic. The subselection aspects can be formal or contently, or both. The pictures are put together to reflect different aspects of the same basic theme, as far as these aspects are represented by a sufficient number of pictures in the collection.
 

Selection
The pictures are selected by thematical relevance in the first place. Rating and hits are not considered, but more interesting pictures are preferred. Another criterium is diversity.
